Ballyshannon is renowned for its traditional music with the highlight being the internationally renowned Ballyshannon Folk Festival normally held towards the end of July and the Rory Gallagher festival held in June. Ballyshannon is also the birthplace of Allingham the Poet and Rory Gallagher the rock guitarist.
There are excellent facilities available locally, such as the Leisure Centre, with a 25m swimming pool, which is ideal for families. The Breesy centre situated in Cashelard can organise whatever type of activity your group is looking for, whether its hill walking, angling or horse riding.
